From the meeting of the association council on 03.04.2025


Mayor Rudolf Jacob had invited the members of the association council to a meeting in the town hall on April 3, 2025.

First, the mayor gave his annual report on additional income and expense allowances from secondary employment and honorary positions in 2024. Mayor Jacob informed the audience that all additional income that he had resulted from the exercise of honorary public offices. The corresponding income is properly taxed if it exceeds the tax-free amounts. There is no obligation to pay these expense allowances to the municipality.

The local council took note of the comments.

This was followed by the awarding of contracts for 2 trades in the course of the extension and basic renovation of the Sippersfeld elementary school. Following a restricted invitation to tender, 2 bids were submitted for the tiling work in the final construction phase. The most economical offer came from the company Roland Klinck, Rutsweiler, at a gross offer price of € 33,343.76. The cost estimate here was € 36,000.

Three bids were submitted for the painting and varnishing work. The most economical offer was submitted by Thomas GmbH, Schopp, at € 25,116.14 gross. The cost estimate here was € 32,000 gross.

In agreement, the members of the association council decided to award the contract to the most favorable bidder.

Without further discussion, the association council also unanimously decided, after the mayor had made a corresponding presentation, that the association municipality was interested in developing a joint competitive tourism organization (WTO) with the 4 association municipalities in the district and the Donnersberg district. The municipal council unanimously agreed to submit a corresponding funding application to the state of Rhineland-Palatinate together with the district and the 4 other VGs and to submit the necessary declaration of intent.

This was followed by a non-public part. A waiver of claims was resolved here.
