German Forest Days: Together! for the forest.

Across fields and meadows into the forest!

Initiated by the Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture (BMEL), the seventh German Forest Days will take place from September 19 to 21, 2025.

Under the motto "Together! For the forest." foresters, forest owners, associations and organizations, together with other local actors, invite citizens to numerous events in the forests throughout Germany on the third weekend in September. The focus is on information and dialog about the importance of an intact forest ecosystem for society and the environment.

"Forests are little wonder worlds and fulfill many important functions for us humans," enthuses district forester Dieter Gass from the Donnersberg forestry office. They are an important habitat, provide clean air and fresh water, offer jobs, are places of education, research, recreation and health. Above all, forests make an important contribution to biodiversity and climate protection.

The Sippersfeld forest district and the Neumühle estate are once again inviting you to a special guided tour this year, focusing on the importance of cooperation for the protection and sustainable use of our forests, as well as agriculture with new forms of cultivation, agroforestry is a step into the future.

Working together for our forests at a time when forests are facing major challenges due to climate change, pests and environmental pollution, joint commitment is more important than ever. Whether foresters, researchers, conservationists or forest owners - only by working together can we preserve the forest as a habitat, climate protector and place of recreation.

Participants can look forward to an exciting walk across fields and meadows in the Hub forest area near Winnweiler.
