Vacation fun in the Imsbach Mining Adventure World

Adventure, hands-on course and glitter tattoos on July 20 in Imsbach

Holidays and boredom? Not at the Imsbach Mining Adventure World! On Sunday, July 20, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., the Imsbach local community development association and the Palatinate Mining Museum Association are offering vacation fun in and around the visitor mine Grube Maria in Langental.

Family hands-on adventure and time travel at Donnersberg
There is plenty for young and old to experience. First and foremost, the popular family hands-on adventure "The Secret of the Mine Treasure". Together with the two mine explorers, they get to the bottom of old tales. Is it really true what has been told in the mining village for many years? In the old Imsbach mines
, robbers are said to have hidden in the past. From time to time, they are even said to have left their loot there because they had to leave the mines head over heels as they fled.

One thing is clear: it's going to be exciting - and it will be anything but a normal
mine tour. Kids can eagerly join in, solve puzzles and try out for themselves how strenuous working in a mine used to be. And sometimes it even gets a little magical... There are still a few places available for the family hands-on adventure, so book quickly by calling the Winnweiler municipal administration on 06302 / 60261.

Regular guided tours of the Grube Maria visitor mine will also be offered on July 20. The mine guides will take guests on a journey through centuries of mining history in the Donnersberg. A special feature of the Maria Mine are the two "tunnel floors", one above the other, which are connected by a 15
meter high shaft. The regular mine tours can also be booked by calling 06302 / 60261.

Exclusive Gruben-Paul medal as a reward
There will also be a hands-on course around the pit hut during the vacation fun on July 20. Skill is required. Those who complete all the stations will receive an exclusive Gruben-Paul medal as a reward. The miner "Gruben-Paul" is the mascot of the Imsbach Mining Adventure World. Participation in the hands-on course is free
and is also possible without booking a guided tour.

Anyone who is so active above and below ground naturally gets hungry and thirsty. No problem: the local community support association provides refreshments in and around the pit hut. Guests can also get a glitter tattoo at the hut.

Unique minerals from around the world
The Palatinate Mining Museum is also open in the center of Imsbach on July 20. From 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., it will not only provide an insight into mining in the Palatinate, but also a fascinating overview of unique minerals from all over the world in the special exhibition "Terra Crystallum".

Last but not least, it is also worth taking a walk around Imsbach in the footsteps of mining. Circular hiking trails lead past old mines, with wonderful views and encounters with relics of almost 2,000 years of history in the forests. Thanks to the information boards, there are always explanations and also a pictorial insight into what was worked and found on the Donnersberg,
. Incidentally, mascot "Gruben-Paul" explains to young visitors on the boards what mining is all about. Ideal for family hikes. So there's a lot going on in the mining village on July 20: so let's head to the Imsbach Mining Adventure World for some vacation fun.
