Two-day program - with an after-work party on Saturday evening
On Sunday, May 18, 2025, the Winnweiler fire department will open its doors to the public and cordially invites all citizens to an open day on the occasion of its 150th anniversary. Visitors can expect an exciting and varied day for the whole family under the motto "In the thick of it instead of just being there".
The program begins with a solemn church service in the morning. This is followed by a morning pint with musical accompaniment from the Winnweiler Music Society. Throughout the day, the popular entertainer Kalli Koppold, live demonstrations by the fire department (e.g. fat explosion) and an extensive children's program with two bouncy castles provide the best entertainment.
A special highlight: the rollover simulator allows visitors to experience a realistic car rollover - safely strapped in, of course. This impressive experience raises awareness of road safety and correct behavior in the event of an accident.
No less impressive is the large vehicle exhibition, where vehicles from the fire department, police, DRK, THW and other organizations can be explored up close. There's also plenty to eat and drink: whether it's a hearty barbecue or sweet treats - there's something for everyone.
Warm-up the evening before - after-work party on May 17
The festival weekend kicks off on Saturday evening, May 17, with an atmospheric after-work party from 7:00 pm. DJ Krämer will provide cool beats and there will be delicious food from the grill - the perfect start to the weekend with free admission!
