Mawacon informs: Updated construction schedule for fiber optic expansion

At the end of 2023, Mawacon began rolling out fiber optics to the municipalities in the VG Winnweiler on its own account. Self-economically means that Mawacon has not been commissioned by the local municipalities, the association municipality or the district and that no public funds are being used for the expansion.

Mawacon had presented a construction schedule at the end of 2023, which had also been published accordingly. There have since been changes here. For example, the work in Imsbach, Lohnsfeld, Potzbach and Sippersfeld has been brought forward. In other places, there have been delays. This is mainly due to construction processes and necessary approvals, such as highway, railroad and water crossings. Approvals from higher-level authorities are required for these, which sometimes take longer to process.
