End of the season at the Imsbach Mining Adventure World

Family hands-on adventure, regular guided tours and open museum

There was a lot going on at the Imsbach Mining Adventure World this year. On Sunday, October 20, there will be another opportunity to take a journey underground into centuries of
mining history or to marvel at the world of minerals. This day marks the end of the season at the BergbauErlebnisWelt.
On Sunday, October 20, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., the visitor mine Grube Maria will be specially illuminated once again when guests can immerse themselves in the history of mining and the
search for iron ore in this 250-year-old mine with a mine guide. A special feature of the Maria mine are the two "tunnel floors", one above the other, which are connected by a 15-metre
high shaft. This makes it possible to cross the entire length of the mountain. Reservations for guided tours of the mine can be made by calling 06302/60261
.

Another secret at the end of the season
The family hands-on adventure "The Secret of the Mine Treasure" is a huge success. Staged for the first time at the start of the season in April, all dates this year were fully booked. This also applies to October 20, when the two mine explorers will once again investigate the question of whether what has been told in the mining village for many years is actually true? It is said that robbers used to hide in the old Imsbach mines. From time to time they are even said to have left their loot there because they had to leave the mines head over heels as they fled. This is anything but a normal mine tour. Kids can eagerly join in
, solve puzzles and try out for themselves how strenuous working in a mine used to be. The good news, especially for anyone who didn't get a place on this year's
family hands-on adventure for children aged five and over. "The Secret of the Mine Treasure" will be back next season from April.

Palatinate Mining Museum open on 20 October
The Palatinate Mining Museum in the center of Imsbach will also be open on Sunday, 20 October from 1 to 5 pm. The special exhibition "Terra Crystallum" will also be on display on the second floor. Here, visitors can get a fascinating overview of unique minerals from all over the world. The museum also provides a wealth of information about mining in the Palatinate, including a collection that shows and describes most of the mineral and fossil raw materials ever extracted in the Palatinate and their uses.

Miners' hut open at the end of the season
The miners' hut in Imsbacher Langental is also open at the end of the season. The Imsbach local community support association offers food and drinks there on this day. A wonderful place to spend a few pleasant hours.
