VG-Werke inform: Information on the 2025 annual fee and contribution notice and the advance payments for 2026

Ladies and gentlemen, dear customers,

You will receive the 2025 annual fee and contribution notice and the request for advance payments for 2026 at the end of January 2026.

As is no doubt also the case for you in the private sector, we are affected by general cost increases, as well as significantly higher costs in civil engineering, energy procurement and increased personnel expenses as a result of pay rises in recent years. As we finance all renewal investments in the waterworks and sewerage works via ongoing charges and do not levy any one-off contributions for these measures, depreciation and interest charges are rising due to the higher investment costs. We have been able to keep the fees constant for many years through various measures (energy saving, inter-municipal cooperation, to name a few) (the last change was in 2016), but due to price developments and also the increased technical requirements in the area of water supply and wastewater disposal, we are obliged to increase the fees. This will take place in two stages in 2025 and 2026, with the fee rates being adjusted across the board for all fee types (user fees, basic fees and recurring contributions). The fee and contribution rates in detail can be found in the tariff overview 2025 and 2026 published on our homepage and in the notification.

The price and tariff sheets for water and wastewater, which are also published on our homepage, show that our charges are still moderately low throughout the country despite the increase. Here, corresponding price comparisons are shown for various sample households throughout the country.

We were very pleased that our two committees, the Works Committee and the Association Municipal Council, unanimously approved the fee calculations for the waterworks and wastewater treatment plant, thus enabling us to ensure that the water supply and wastewater disposal in our association municipality will continue to be economical and sustainable in the future.

Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions or require further information.
