As part of a planned construction project, the parking lot at Winnweiler train station (Lorenz-Steinbrückner-Weg) will be closed to cars from September 15, 2025.
Notes on the parking situation:
- The parking spaces in Bahnhofsstraße are available as an alternative parking option. These can be reached via Lorenz-Steinbrückner-Weg.
- The wooden bridge to Bahnhofsstraße can be used by cars with a maximum permissible weight of 2.8 tons.
Pedestrian regulation:
- Pedestrians can use the parking lot as a passageway up to and including October 5, 2025.
(This applies in particular during the Oktober-Kerwe Winnweiler). - From October 6, 2025, the parking lot will also be closed to pedestrians - until the construction work is completed.
The Schloßstraße - Bahnhofsstraße thoroughfare has been reopened and the Schlosstraße traffic circle has been completed by the time construction work on the station parking lot begins.
Detour:
- During this time, pedestrians and car traffic will be diverted via Schloßstraße in the direction of Bahnhofsstraße.
