Two-day program at the Imsbach Mining Adventure World

First it gets Bavarian, then there's lots to discover for young and old adventurers: On Saturday, August 23 and Sunday, August 24, there's a lot going on at the Imsbach Mining Adventure World. A Bavarian evening will be followed by a mining family day with a magic show, music and hands-on activities.

Bavaria and a mine? Do they go together in the middle of the Palatinate on the Donnersberg? The answer: absolutely! Because there are quite a few connections - not just the wonderful landscape with elevations around the mine hut in the Imsbach Langental valley.

Bavarian traces in Palatinate mining
That's why the Imsbach local community development association is inviting you to "Bavaria at the mine" on Saturday, August 23, from 5 pm. After last year's successful premiere, guests can once again look forward to a mix of music, culinary delights and very special guided tours of the mine. Robert Kraut
will be taking visitors on a tour of the illuminated Maria mine, following Bavarian traces of mining in the Palatinate. In Bavarian dialect, by the way. And as a further special feature, the price also includes a snack with a Bavarian burger and wheat beer - or alternatively a vegetarian option. These special mine tours start at 5 p.m. on August 23 and can be booked in advance by calling 06302/60261. The cost is €17 including burger (also vegetarian) and drink.

Music at the Grubenhütte
As befits a Bavarian evening, there will be a beer tapping at the Grubenhütte from 17:30. This will be followed by musical entertainment from the miners' village with the Imsbach choral society and fanfare band. A DJ will then provide entertainment from 7 pm. Admission to "Bayern am Bergwerk" at the pit hut in front of the former mines "Weiße Grube" and "Grube Maria" is free. Of course, there will also be plenty of Bavarian specialties on offer from the Imsbach Friends' Association in this special setting.

Free shuttle service
A free shuttle service will be offered between the community hall in Imsbach and the pithead hut on 23 August. It will run every hour from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Family mining day with a magical adventure show
One day later, on Sunday, August 24, there will be plenty for young and old adventurers to experience at the family mining day around the Grubenhütte. Things get magical on stage at 11 a.m.: In the magic show "Justus Jones and the magical legacy", adventurer Justus Jones gets to the bottom of many mysteries and doesn't shy away from dark corridors or sinister dangers. The magical adventure show was created by Kelly Entertainment, which has also designed shows for "Legoland Deutschland". Thanks to funding from the Imsbach Friends' Association, admission to the magic show is free. However, the association is happy to receive a donation.

Hands-on adventures for young mine explorers
But that's not all the adventures on 24 August in Imsbach's Langental: on this day, there will also be the popular family hands-on program in the "Grube Maria" visitor mine. At
"Geheimnis des Grubenschatzes", two mine explorers will get to the bottom of old stories from 11.30 am. Is it really true what is said in the village? Is there really a treasure in the old mine? Or is it just a fairy tale? The family mine tour is especially
suitable for children aged five and over. Young and old alike have to solve many a puzzle, can try out for themselves what working in the mine used to be like, and sometimes it even gets a little magical. The family hands-on adventure can be booked in advance by calling 06302/60261.
The same applies to the regular mine tours, which are also offered on August 24. Guests can embark on an exciting journey through centuries of mining history in the illuminated visitor mine Grube Maria at
. A special feature underground are the two "tunnel floors", one above the other, which are connected by a 15-metre-high shaft. This makes it possible to cross the entire length of the mountain.

Hands-on activities around the pit hut
There is also plenty to experience around the pit hut: for example, guests can go on a treasure hunt with hands-on activities organized by the Palatinate Mining Museum Association or look at minerals found under a microscope and have them identified with the help of experts.

Adventure school and youth orchestra of the Rockenhausen choral society
The Forest & Game Adventure School, a cooperation between the Rhineland-Palatinate State Forestry Office and the Rhineland-Palatinate State Hunting Association, will also be taking part in the Family Mining Day. There you can join in and get hands-on with an exciting insight into our natural world. There will also be glitter tattoos and the local community support association will be offering food and drinks at the Grubenhütte.

There will be music from 3 p.m.: the youth orchestra of the Rockenhausen choral society will entertain visitors on the stage at the Grubenhütte. There is also the opportunity to travel through the history of mining in the Palatinate in the Imsbach town center from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the Palatinate Mining Museum
. In addition, you should not miss a fascinating overview of unique minerals from all over the world in the special exhibition "Terra Crystallum". You can find out more about BergbauErlebnisWelt Imsbach online at www.bergbauerlebniswelt-imsbach.de.
